"I'm taking the class now. I've been very impressed so far. David clearly knows his stuff, treats the issues with appropriate seriousness but can be an absolute riot as well. He's one of the more engaging instructors I've met. The class is highly educational and highly entertaining.
It's a perfect first class for everyone -- can't recommend it enough. If you haven't taken a class that considers issues such as physical reactions and legal/psychological aftermath, find one and take it. Don't start carrying until you have."

"It was a great eye-opener and well suited for beginners as well. David has a lot to offer. A great reference in the quest for knowledge."

"Armed Response provided a great foundation for what I hope to be a lifetime of learning. Much of the legal and logistical material that was delivered was new or more in-depth that I had previously learned. The practical application of techniques was very well thought out and allowed me to perform well in the live fire drills. This course is a must for anyone who is, or may be, considerting carrying a firearm for self-defense."

David gave me some great insight on dealing with a very dangerous and stressful event. I thought the live fire drills were excellent and gave me the tools that I need to train."

"Your presentation seemed effective to me. It caused me to think about my reasons for wanting to carry. Many of the points were points that I hadn’t considered in the past. The hands-on drills drove your points home very well. I could ramble on but suffice to say the course was great."

"I took the Armed Response course which was divided into a class and live-fire range course between two days. David Kenik is a zen ball of fiery energy served up on a plate of I’ve been there, done that, here is what the experience has taught me.
No bowing down to elite Shooting Gods, David comes down to the plane of the average shooter and imparts the tactical fighting mindset to survive a force on force attack, when to shoot and not to shoot, and how to respond in a legal manner--benefiting you when the law shows up to sort out the tragic details. He does this with direct charged information that stiffens your spine and registers in your brain so your gun handling skills can be improved while you practice further on the range on your own."
Arthur S., Lexington, MA

"This class is an excellent prime for the person who is exploring carrying a firearm for self-defense. It’s a very broad overview that leaves a hunger for more, which is of great benefit because the more training one receives, the better equipped one is to survive. Thanks for getting me addicted. Great job!"
